STOREFRONT RENOVATION GRANTS

Program Overview

The City of South Euclid, in partnership with One South Euclid, offers Storefront Renovation Program for 2025. This program provides eligible commercial property owners with a matching grant of up to $50,000 for transformational exterior renovations.

Eligibility Requirements

• Eligible Applicants: Property Owners

• Project Requirements: All exterior improvements must be visible from the street and must enhance the curb appeal of the property.

Application Process​

• Applications are due by April 1, 2025 at 5 p.m. (EST). 

• Applicants are encouraged to include as much detailed information as possible to increase the likelihood the project is selected for funding.

Notification and Timeline

• Applicants who are recommended for funding will be notified by mid April 2025.

• All projects must be completed by August 1, 2026.

Grant Terms and Conditions

• Matching Grant: Property owners must invest at least the same amount as the funding being requested, up to $50,000. (ex. for a $100,000 project, the property owner must pay $50,000 and the City/OSE would fund the remaining $50,000). In the case of a large transformational project, the One South Euclid Grant Committee reserves the right to award an amount higher than $50,000 to that project.

• Grant Agreement: Property owners will enter into a grant agreement with One South Euclid. One South Euclid will pay the contractor the amount of the grant award upon satisfactory completion of the project. 

• City Approvals: The project must obtain all City approvals prior to work commencing.

• Inspections: Satisfactory project completion also includes any necessary building inspections and sign off from the Building Department prior to any grant funds being paid out. 

• Approval Timeline: Property owners must begin the City's approval process within (4) four months of signing the grant agreement. City staff will guide the property owner through the approval process once the project has been selected for funding.
